Give us this day, Our Day in the Sun.

Phil took the trip up to the attic to find the best reels of Our Day in the Sun and A Winter’s Tale. They were screening prints and not the original A & B rolls, but we ran them through the scanner and they still came out so super sweet. So many great sequences in this film and you have never seen them as good as this.

There’s also a clip from Dick Hoole - Jet Ski tow-ins in Pipeline in ‘87. Is this the first time ski’s were used to tow in?? Anyone know of earlier? Plenty more footage from Dick Hoole up on the site soon. It’s getting the colour treatment from Billy at the moment. We can’t wait to share it.

Please share this newsletter and the project with anyone you think might enjoy being part of this Australian Surfing social history project. Join us on social media or leave a comment on the website. We love to hear from you.

We are having so much fun, hope you’re enjoying it too.
